I took a handful of photos from the City Hall’s observation deck back in August. I overlooked these photos for awhile, but discovered them last week when I was reviewing photos from last year. No real excuses on the lack of photos, it seems that work, the gym and weekend landscaping chores seem to eat away at a lot of my free time these days. Nonetheless, on July 31st I took a stroll through the neighborhood and snapped a couple photos of the City and Church Hill as the sun was setting. Hope you enjoy this small photos set. In the last month, I made it out once to grab some photos. I’m blaming it on the cold weather (6th coldest February ever recorded in Richmond). The photos below are from Powhatan Hill, taken a few days after a 6″ snowfall. Downtown is in the distance, visible through some freezing fog. Enjoy!
2015 will mark the 15th anniversary of RCW in March. My focus this year is not only provide a photo update each month, but to write some additional stories over the year that highlight the changes to downtown since 2000.
