No real excuses on the lack of photos, it seems that work, the gym and weekend landscaping chores seem to eat away at a lot of my free time these days. Nonetheless, on July 31st I took a stroll through the neighborhood and snapped a couple photos of the City and Church Hill as the sun was setting. Hope you enjoy this small photos set. I also fixed a small Gallery glitch this evening. If you see anything not working properly, please message me on Facebook.
2015 will mark the 15th anniversary of RCW in March. My focus this year is not only provide a photo update each month, but to write some additional stories over the year that highlight the changes to downtown since 2000.
In the meantime, a set of of photos from 2 weeks ago is now up in the RCW Gallery. Please select the photo below to access the January 2015 Gallery.
It’s been a busy year and I know that updates to RCW have been few and far between over the last two years. My hope is to provide consistent monthly updates to the RCW Gallery as well as work on bringing back the building database. I’m working on fixing a bug with the old pages and hope to have the database back online within a few weeks (if not sooner). Long term, I hope to revamp these pages to provide accurate, consistent data. I also hope to have photos attached to each building page, a feature sorely lacking at this point.
In the meantime, a more comprehensive update on Richmond construction projects is highlighted below:
A rather large set of new photos that I shot on December 15th are now available for viewing in the RCW Gallery. I think I captured most of the active construction sites in and around Downtown Richmond. If I missed something, drop me a line on Facebook and let me know what I’m missing.
Also be sure to check out the Panoramas at the end of the album.
